It's a chance to step into your own spotlight, guided by a skilled photographer (I’ve been doing this for over a decade now!) who understands your vision and brings it to life with elegance and grace. most of us have spent the majority of our lives being told we need to look a certain way to be “acceptable” in society’s standards. I’m a millennial, I grew up in the heroin-chic, Next Top Model era, being teased by boys and girls alike for being ‘fat’, always seeing my peers on crash diets, trying to go on these diets myself. Shit the 90’s and 00’s have a lot to answer for, huh?

not many people like a blind date, especially one where you get so vulnerable on your first one, so we break the ice first by having a chat about what to expect, getting to know each other and seeing that I am just a weird human being too :) and of course the exciting part - trying on items from the extensive wardrobe collection.

you won’t be seeing any manky-badly-lit-face-half-sneeze images around here … well, maybe the sneeze one because we like to have a laugh. I make sure I cull out all the less than perfect pics and then edit to show you at all your best glory.
same day reveal with celebratory refreshments
after we wrap, you can hang and scroll the gram, watch LoTR (though maybe not that exactly as I will get distracted and want to watch too), or go off and get some food. After about 60-90 minutes, I will have your gallery ready to show you, after handing you another drink, where the first words out of your mouth will usually be “is that really me?!”. You can bring a friend or partner to this part - I can say they usually aren’t much help in deciding though as usually they are drooling over the pics more than you are.

Photo packages range from $499 to $3,999 for digital only packages. A la carte packages can be arranged for prints and albums. Payment plans can be made available.
Waiting to be the ‘perfect size’? Waiting for your confidence to grow? Just don’t feel ‘ready’?
I can tell you after shooting with hundreds of women (no joke, 2023 alone I had the privilege of working with 136 people!), barely anyone is fully ‘ready’. They still have nerves, they still feel like they could continue to wait.
But as I say to many, reaching out is the hardest part! That’s the part where you are most vulnerable, you’ve decided to step outside your comfort zone. And so many who see me think they are the exception for this, when it’s absolutely the opposite - this is outside of most people’s comfort zones! Even people who have done many shoots with many people over the years, still feel a bit nervous.
The first question I ask you when you step in the studio is “how are you feeling” and the answer is ALWAYS “nervous! but excited!”

So you’re feeing more convinced - wanna know what’s involved in a shoot with Poledoir?
After you’ve engaged with me and said “fuck it let’s go”, we have a pre-shoot meet & greet where you can sit down and have a yarn with me, talk through your fears (but mostly your excitements), what you are after in the shoot and then the fun part - wardrobe try on! I have over 100 items, different sizes and styles and I will help you narrow down your 3-4 outfits for your shoot, this happens 2-4 weeks before your shoot. You can see most of the outfits here.
On the day, you will be treated with professional hair and makeup from Lisa (who’s this gorgeous chick in the background) alongside a beverage or 2 of your choice. We then do a fun wee stretch together (I need it too. Being 35 means I just wake up sore) and then we shoot for around 60- 90 minutes. You get to take one mini keepsake photo on the day, polaroid styles AND the exciting part… same day reveal! You can continue to fly solo for this or you can bring a friend to help you choose, or your partner - but trust me when I say that they won’t help with any narrowing down you need to do!
When it comes to editing, I do not warp the body, I do not remove stretch-marks or give you photoshop plastic surgery - this is not my brand and if this is what you want, you need to find a different photographer. I am here to celebrate and empower YOU, as you are right now
